Click. Zip. Go. - Review of the Victoria's Secret VSX Knockout

Click. Zip. Go.

This is the tag line for the Victoria's Secret VSX "Knockout" sports bra.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I have been on the hunt for a go-to sports bra for almost as long as I've been wearing bras (which is too long to admit on a public forum). I am ... how do you put it? ... well endowed ... and that has been something with which to contend, sports-wise, for as long as I can remember.

When participating in martial arts or even mountain biking, just about any quality compression bra will do. But I just have not been able to find a bra that is comfortable for high-impact activities like jogging and crossfit. And so, more often than not, you will find me doubling up on support when box jumps, burpees, or the jump rope are part of our WOD. And you will DEFINITELY see me sporting multiple layers when we head out for a jog.

That not only means twice the laundry, but let's face it - wearing two bras at once just doesn't feel good. In fact, I'll just say it ... wearing two bras at a time SUCKS!

And that brings me back to the Knockout! I am in L-O-V-E with this bra, people!

It's two bras in one without FEELING like you are wearing two bras at once! And guess what? Even when I'm hitting the ground for a burpee (or a rolling breakfall at judo), I'm held perfectly in place. VS has dubbed this creation as their 'bra-in-bra' technology and it REALLY is the best of wearing two bras at once. On the underside, is a front-clasped under wire bra which is covered by a zip up compression sleeve of sorts. So ... you click in the front clasp, zip up the compression layer to hold you in right, and GO! Hit the ground running, sprawl out for a burpee, or bounce to the top of that box, whatever the WOD calls for - you are READY!

And the kicker? This bra feels GREAT! I don't feel all smushed. The under wire doesn't dig in anywhere (did I mention I have done rolling break falls in this thing?). And you know how I *K*N*O*W* this bra feels great? After a super tough, super HOT workout the other day, I kept the thing on for more than FOUR HOURS after the WOD was over! And not because I was out running errands or anything. I workout in my garage, just a few steps from the comfort of my home. And quite often, especially when I am all hot and bothered, my first order of business after a workout is to get in something loose and cool that barely touches me anywhere. But no, this time I stayed in that bra for several hours while I relaxed, prepared dinner, and spent some quality time with my guys. If that is not a testimonial for the sheer awesomeness of this bra, then I don't know what is!

And there is a bonus too! It's cute! In fact, I feel down right sexy when I wear it! My better half has even mentioned that it adds a "new dimension" to our workout time. (I'm blushing now ... can you tell?)

Seriously though folks ... if you haven't tried it already, I highly recommend this bra. Drop by a store and give it a try, if you have the chance! I don't think you will be disappointed.

With that said, there is, of course, one drawback. And it is one you often hear any time VS is mentioned. This bra is not inexpensive, especially compared to the compression tops I usually pull out of my drawer. But considering fitness is such an important part of our lives and the fact that I have no intention of retiring to the couch any time soon, it was an investment I felt was worth the expense. In fact, I have plans to head back to the mall this weekend to pick up one more - just so I can make sure that I have one handy regardless of whether we have made it to laundry day or not.
